Executive Decree 181 of 2019, establishes the Visa of eventual stay for American citizens who enter Panama without the intention of establishing permanent or temporary residence but for reasons of study, investment, eventual work or labor transfer for a period of 1 year with possibility of annual extension up to 5 times.

Requirements to apply for the visa:

  • Application form
  • Three photographs
  • Copy of identity of the country of origin
  • Receipt of payment for immigration services equivalent to US$100 to the National Immigration Service
  • Proof of accommodation
  • Corresponding documentation on the activity to be carried out during the stay in Panama

If the application includes dependents:

  • Letter of responsibility
  • Certification proving relationship (marriage or birth certificate)
