The General Director of Immigration issued on September 10, 2021 Resolution 22706 which exempts citizens of the United States and Canada from the past Resolution 22068 where the maximum period of stay for foreign tourists in Panama is three months.

Resolution 22706 will become effective on October 1 and establishes that citizens of the United States and Canada may stay up to 180 days as tourists in Panama for reciprocity reasons.
